April received her B.A. at Indiana University where she double-majored in Theatre and English. While in Indiana, she served as Literary Manager of Starrynight Productions, and had numerous 10-minute plays produced at both the Bloomington Playwrights Project, and the IndyFringe. She also wrote commercials for Starrynight Productions' film branch. April is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing and Literary Translation (Playwriting) at Queens College in New York.
An only child raised on a thoroughbred horse farm in Lexington, Kentucky, April learned to find ways of entertaining herself. One of those ways was coming up with fantastical tales that she would write and then recite to her parents. She may now be an adult living in New York, however, her parents still have not escaped their daughter's telephone calls saying "I just wrote something, listen to this." They now have Caller ID.
